You choose the connection
Cadence only gets platform access after you connect an account and approve the permissions shown by Instagram or TikTok.
THE SHORT VERSION
A clear guide to what Cadence can access when you connect Instagram or TikTok, what we do with it, and how to take it back.
Cadence only gets platform access after you connect an account and approve the permissions shown by Instagram or TikTok.
That means preparing and publishing your posts, showing account performance, and handling Instagram comments and messages.
Disconnect to stop future authorized access. For deletion of stored history and workspace data, contact our privacy team.
We don't sell your social account data. Platform data is used for the social management features you request, not advertising or cross-customer profiles.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTS
When you connect an Instagram Business or Creator account through Instagram Business Login, Cadence requests permissions for the following tasks:
We receive the account ID, username, display name, and profile image URL so you can recognize and manage the connected account.
We handle the photos or videos, captions, target account, and publishing result needed to create and track posts you schedule in Cadence.
We fetch account and post insights, such as reach, impressions, and follower metrics, and store snapshots so you can review performance over time.
When available and authorized, we receive comment, mention, and direct-message events for your connected account. Message text, sender details supplied by Meta, timestamps, and replies you send are processed to operate the inbox.
LOGIN KIT + CONTENT POSTING
When you connect a TikTok account, TikTok asks you to approve the permissions below. Cadence uses each one only for what is described here, and you can revoke them at any time in TikTok or by disconnecting the account in Cadence.
user.info.basicYour open ID, display name and profile photo, used to identify the connected account and show it in Cadence.
user.info.profileYour username, shown as @username wherever the account appears, so you always know which account a post goes to.
user.info.statsYour follower, following, like and video counts. We keep regular snapshots to show follower growth and post counts in your dashboard and analytics.
video.publishPublishing a video or photos you choose directly to your profile, with the title, audience, interaction and disclosure settings you pick. To build the composer, Cadence first reads your posting options from TikTok: nickname, username, profile photo, available audiences, interaction settings and maximum video length.
video.uploadSending a video you choose to your TikTok inbox as a draft. Nothing is published: you tap TikTok's inbox notification, finish editing in the TikTok app and post it yourself.
video.listReading your public TikTok videos with their caption, cover image, link, posting date, length and view, like, comment and share counts. Cadence lists your recent ones under TikTok videos in Analytics without storing the list, and saves the counts only for videos you publish from Cadence. TikTok shares only public videos this way.
We use account and platform data to provide the features you use: connect accounts, draft and schedule content, publish posts, show analytics, process Instagram inbox events, and send service notifications. We also use limited operational information to secure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cadence.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Instagram or TikTok data to build advertising audiences or profiles across Cadence customers. If you explicitly request an AI caption suggestion, the prompt and context you provide are sent to our model-routing provider to generate that suggestion; stored social content is not sent automatically.
These providers process information for hosting, authentication and database storage, uploaded media, background tasks, error monitoring, transactional email, and requested AI suggestions. They act on our instructions for those services.
Use Settings → Connected accounts → Disconnect in Cadence. We stop using the platform token for future requests and, for TikTok and YouTube, also ask the platform to revoke it. Disconnecting does not itself erase previously stored posts, inbox history, analytics, or audit records.
Remove Cadence from the connected app list in your Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok account settings. Platform menus can change; use the platform's current help center if you need help finding that setting.
Email privacy@figmenta.com from your workspace address. Tell us which workspace and connected account you mean. You can also use our data deletion page for the available deletion routes.
We remove data when it is no longer needed for the service or when a valid deletion request applies. Some security, accounting, and audit records may be retained where required or for legitimate operational purposes. Removing a connection in Cadence does not delete posts already published on Instagram or TikTok.
Social access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to the application workflows that need them.
Workspace membership and database access controls are used to limit who can access workspace information.
We keep account connection details while the connection is present in your workspace. Disconnecting stops future authorized use, but related content and history may remain until you request deletion or delete the workspace. We keep operational logs for a limited period and retain backups only as they rotate out. To ask about a specific record or request deletion, contact privacy@figmenta.com.
We process your sign-in email and display name; workspace details; brand profiles; drafts, uploaded media, captions, schedules and target accounts; and routine service information such as request timestamps, paths, and device/browser details.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and may object to or restrict processing where applicable law provides those rights. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. Email privacy@figmenta.com for privacy requests.
Figmenta operates Cadence and handles account information for the service. If you use Cadence on behalf of an organization, your organization may control workspace content and instruct us how to handle it.
Cadence is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Cadence and its service providers may process information in countries other than yours, with appropriate safeguards where required. We update this policy as the service changes and will communicate material changes through reasonable channels.
When you connect an account, the platform also processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. Cadence follows applicable platform requirements for data received through platform APIs.
