Data deletion
Cadence is a social media management tool. When you connect a social account, we store the data required to publish posts, fetch analytics and, for Instagram, show comments and DMs in the inbox. You can ask us to delete that data at any time using the routes below.
Option 1 — disconnect the account in Cadence
Sign in to Cadence, open Settings → Connected accounts, and click Disconnect next to the account. Cadence stops using the connection straight away and, for TikTok and YouTube, also asks the platform to revoke its access. Disconnecting does not erase the posts, inbox messages and analytics already stored for that account; to have them erased, email us (option 3).
Option 2 — remove Cadence from Instagram or Facebook
Open Instagram → Settings and privacy → Apps and websites, find Cadence, and tap Remove. Or on Facebook: Settings → Apps and websites → Active → select Cadence → Remove. When you confirm the removal, Meta sends a signed data-deletion request to Cadence and we delete the data listed under What gets deleted below. You receive a confirmation code from Meta — keep it for your records.
TikTok: removing Cadence from the apps connected to your TikTok account revokes its access, but Cadence is not notified, so stored TikTok data stays until you email us (option 3).
Option 3 — email us directly
Email privacy@figmenta.com from the address tied to your Cadence workspace, or include enough information for us to identify the connection (the account's handle is enough). We respond within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, as described in our Privacy policy.
What gets deleted
- Encrypted Instagram access and refresh tokens.
- Cached profile metadata (username, display name, avatar URL).
- Inbox messages (DMs, comments, mentions) tied to that account.
- Analytics snapshots for that account.
- Scheduled or draft posts targeting that account (the post content itself is removed; published posts on Instagram are unaffected — you control those from Instagram).
What we keep
Audit log entries that record the deletion itself (workspace ID, timestamp, confirmation code — no Meta user data) are retained for accountability and to respond to follow-up questions. They contain no personally identifying content from your Instagram account.
